The Four "A's" of Being a Great Micropreneur [Abbott ePublishing]

Entrepreneurship is the way our economy grows, and becoming a "micropreneur" and running a small, one- or two-person business is the way many companies begin.

But how do you know that you are you cut out for a certain business? Before you launch your micro-business, you need to consider many factors. Among them are these five key factors that can help determine whether you can effectively do the job you’re considering:

Aptitude - Are you suited to this job? Do you have what it takes? This is no small matter. If you aren’t a good “fit” for a job, you’ll regret it, probably right away - hopefully. It would be a shame to discover, months or years into a job that you simply aren’t “cut out” for a job. Questions to ask yourself: Do I have the right skills for this job? If not, can I develop them? What are my best skills? Do they match THIS particular job?

Attitude - Are you willing to put your all into the job? Will you feel great about going to work (even if "going" to work means going to a spare bedroom)? If you can’t approach the job with a good attitude, you shouldn't be doing it. Questions to ask yourself include: Do I feel good about doing this kind of work? Is this a “dream” job? Do I think it can it become a huge success, over time? Can I get up every morning "psyched" about this job?

Ambition - Do you want to achieve something great with this job? That’s an important, but often overlooked, question that few ask when considering a job or a new career. Ambition means more than wanting to dominate your field and be the pre-eminent practitioner of your career - but wanting to do that is a start! Ask yourself: Can I become the best in this field? Will I be able to earn the respect of my peers in this field?

Action Plan - Once you know what kind of business you’re going to pursue, having a plan is really the first step along the journey to success. If you start out without at least a basic roadmap, how will you know where you’re going? What goals can you reach without a plan? The likely answer to that question is “none.” If you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail. Even a short, one-page “mini” business plan, outlining factors such as your mission statement, your plans for financing, a marketing strategy and short-term goals can help you from veering off-course. Ask yourself: What do I want to be earning in six months, a year, and two years? Who are my customers going to be? How much will I charge for my products and services?

If you  think you have what it takes to start a business, check out, Dining Room Table Empire - 52 Ways To Immediately Build a Successful MicroBusinesses, an eBook exclusively from Abbott ePublishing.

Did A Woman In 2010 Predict The 2018 US/China Trade War? [Abbott ePublishing]

In January, 2010, Abbott ePublishing published a remarkable, and some would say, strange, eBook.

"The Prophecies of Madame Mary Ordana for the 2010s" purported to be the predictions of a hitherto unknown Caribbean woman for the coming decade. We received these in late 2009 and published them almost immediately

If nothing else, they were beautifully written, and we'd be amused if some of them actually came true.

The shocking thing is - several of these predictions seem to have actually happened!

And the speed at which her predictions are coming true may indicate that more of them will be coming to fruition as the decade ends!

For example, Stanza 36 seems to accurately predict the 2018 trade war between the US and China - nearly eight years before it happened!

"Stocks in this new year take another wild ride,
As China’s eye for investments begin to roam
A trade war is threatened, and stocks again slide
Before negotiations make their mark and calm the waters
Yet damage is done and millions will lose their homes."

And she often speaks of politics. Could she have been predicting a "Blue Wave" in the 2018 elections An election bringing "great change" is mentioned in Stanza 5:

"Elections bring great change
New leader is well-read.
The opposition wins
After old leader was handed his head."

While the election of Trump did bring "great change," (and his "Make America GREAT Again" seems to actually be spelled out in this wording) the fact that the new leader is "well read" would tend to discount Trump, who doesn't pretend to be a great reader.

And yet, the "old leader" (Trump is 72 in 2018) seems to also refer to Trump, and the "opposition" winning though would mean the Democrats, if this refers to the United States. Stay tuned for the November elections!

Some of her predictions have undeniably come true. Take for instance her specific prediction that 2010 would be a "year of earthquakes," the crash of an Asiana Airlines plane in 2013, and then there's this: Her shocking description (in Stanza 8) of the death of two Hollywood actors - presumably Lauren Becall and Robin Williams:

"Two deaths at once, oh how sorrowful.
Old Hollywood cries.
One still dominated the screen
Another, aged, alone she dies."

Note that the eBook was published January 20, 2010, and these deaths occurred in the summer of 2014.

She also handles the tech revolution of the 2010s in some of her predictions.

Her 11th Prophesy seems to point to the rise of YouTube as an international phenomenon:

"The baby laughs, then cries,
The new car, just bought, flies,
A snake seems to dance
And unsuspecting, we see a budding romance,
New songs are sung,
Badly,but with voices far-flung
Across the globe, and they are seen,
Caught on the tiny screen,
Which becomes entertainment for millions."

Build A #MicroBusiness Around Your Passion! [Abbott ePublishing]

Job satisfaction is at an all-time low. The job market is soft. It's been very hard to find a decent, good paying job.

But there are some jobs that are really, really easy to start, with little cash, and offer the hope of not only being one’s own boss, but being able to make a bit of money in these depressed economic times.

Despite what the economists say, people still need basic services and are willing to pay a reasonable price for them. Sometimes, if marketed correctly, with a high level of personal service, and the price is right, even NON-basic luxury services can "sell" in this economy.

Passion is perhaps the most key element to starting your business. As www.winelibrarytv.com founder and social media guru Gary Vaynerchuk says, "When you build a business around a passion, that's when you really hit it out of the park."

Abbott ePublishing's "Forty Ways to Make a FORTUNE with MicroBusinesses" outlines 40 such “instant” service business ideas that are well-suited to this economy, and are super-easy to set up.

Each of these jobs are simple to start, depending on your level of skill and ability to focus on the start-up with drive, vision and passion.

Check out "Forty Ways..." at Abbott ePublishing today. For just $1.99, you can't go wrong, and you could even be starting a new chapter in your working life TODAY!

NEW eBook: Jesus Calls Us To A Life Of Good Works [Abbott ePublishing]

Abbott ePublishing is proud to announce the first-time publication of Jesus Calls Us To A Life Of Good Works, by Stephen Abbott, written for The Jesus Followers.

Joining our growing line-up of original religion-related eBook publications, this sure-to-be influential eBook goes back to the source of the Christian Faith, Jesus, and seeks to explore what he actually said about Good Works - as opposed to what men since then have preached and taught about it.

"Jesus Calls Us To A Life Of Good Works" dares to focus on Jesus' own revolutionary and challenging words, which actually call us to a rich, joyful life of Good Works, which serve others, show God's love to the world, and are the basis for God's judgment of us in relation to our eternal lives.

This eBook will challenge the traditional understanding of how "Good Works" is taught from the world's Christian pulpits, urging us to take Jesus' words as seriously as he calls us to take them: as words that will not pass away.

Excerpts from the book:
"These teachings of his must never be diminished, belittled, or explained away, because they hold the power of our salvation from sin within them. But Jesus didn't just teach, or give commands. He gave us an example that he said we could follow. Jesus lived, taught and died as a pure moral example, so that we would follow him."
"Jesus challenges us to be better than we are, not remain exactly as we were before we met him. The act of following Jesus is meant to transform us into human beings who more closely resemble this God-chosen pattern for our lives. We are to be BORN AGAIN in service and obedience to God, with the example of God's chosen exemplar always before our eyes. (John 3:3)"

Offered exclusively and for the first time from Abbott ePublishing, you can explore this deep, spiritually satisfying eBook (.PDF format, immediate download upon payment) for the introductory price of just US$1.99.

Did #Christ Return To Earth In the 1990s as a Chinese Woman?

An Obscure Chinese Religion Believes IT'S TRUE!
The Chinese-based religion "Eastern Lightning" teaches that in the 1990s, Jesus Christ  returned to Earth - as a Chinese woman in her 30s named Yang Xiangbin (photo on the left - the only image known to exist.)

This controversial "cult" has been vigorously persecuted by the Communist Chinese government, which labeled it "subversive," and Christian missionaries in China and throughout Asia have also labeled it as "dangerous," not just for its aggressive tactics and alleged criminal behavior, but because its teachings vary from Christian "orthodox" teachings.

For example, Lightning from the East (or "Eastern Lightning," also known as "The Church of the Almighty God") believes that in the Old Testament, God was "Jehovah," while in the New Testament, this same God was known as Jesus. But in this age, Yang Xiangbin has become the third incarnation of God, the "Almighty God."

We all know about Christianity, Judaism, Islam and even Buddhism. But those aren't the only religions in the world, by far. There are many others that have captured the imagination and devotion of many across the globe. some that are small, secretive and even mysterious.

"Secret Religions and Obscure Faiths" is a fascinating look at just a few of those strange, obscure and even secretive religions that our editor has come across in the past few decades. You might be amazed at the diversity and colorful nature of some of these incredibly obscure religions, and you might also be inspired to seek out some "secret religions" in your own neighborhood.

You will ALSO read about:

  • A Japanese "New Religion" that teaches its followers that "Life is Art" and celebrates life with an annual fireworks show that draws thousands of onlookers.
  • Three modern "Mystery Religions" that take their cues from the Ancients.
  • The Taiwanese man who was so upset with US Pres. Jimmy Carter making "belligerent" and "warlike" comments that he asked Heaven if he could start a new, peace-promoting religion (hint: they said Yes!)
  • The religion that wants to bring back the Old Gods and Goddesses of the Ancient World - but with new names.
  • The humble German religious leader who spent a lifetime in jail but didn't want his followers to glorify him.
  • The faith that reveres a cup they believe to be the Holy Grail

And MORE!

5 Ways We Can "Re-Boot" Our Failed #Calendar

Is our calendar perfect? Few would argue that it is. In fact, it's pretty much a mess.

The number of days in each month are uneven, its quarters are unequal, and it's impossible to determine when on which day of the week any random date will fall.

But it turns out, there are many, many other - arguably better - ideas to reform it and make how we mark time more predictable and easier.

Here are just FIVE:

1. The 13-Moon Calendar. Inspired by the ancient Mayan Long-Count calendar, this proposal to reform the current Gregorian calendar re-names all the months, and introduces other innovations, including an extra month, which approximates many ancient calendars.

2. The Symmetry454 Calendar is a proposal by a Toronto university professor. It features four exactly equal quarters of 28-, 35- and 28-day months, making it easier to compare fiscal quarters. It's beautiful symmetry contrasts with the chaotic Gregorian.

3. The 13-month "Sol" Calendar updates an Old Idea - the 13- month year tied to the lunar cycle. This calendar's 13 months are all 28 days long, making it easy to remember the length of months. A leap year is added to the last month, December, and a new month, Sol, is added between June and July.

4. The New Earth Calendar is a bit of a hybrid - mixing the best elements of proposals like the Symmetry454 calendar and the 13 months of the Sol calendar.

5. Finally, the 30x11 Calendar is what its creator calls a "Gentle Update" of our current calendar. All of its months are 30 days long, except December, which rounds out the 365 or 366-day year with 35 or 36 days. It makes it incredibly easy to determine what day number each day on the calendar holds, and makes it easy to remember days.

All of these calendars - and MANY MORE - can be found EXCLUSIVELY on the new Abbott ePublishing eBook "A New Calendar for The World" available from the Abbott ePublishing website.

The Shocking, Relevant 8th Prophesy of Madame Mary Ordana

"The Prophesies of Madame Mary Ordana for the 2010s," published Jan. 20, 2010 by Abbott ePublishing, continue to amaze and astound all who read this short but explosive eBook!

JUST ONE EXAMPLE: In 2014, two events - the deaths of Robin Williams and Lauren Becall were noted as possibly referring to the Eighth of Madame Mary Ordana's 50+ prophesies:

"Two deaths at once, oh how sorrowful. Old Hollywood cries. One still dominated the screen; Another, aged, alone she dies."

One can easily interpret this as a prophesy of the passing of Robin Williams - who still has four films to be released THIS YEAR alone, and the Grande Dame of Hollywood, Lauren Becall, who died the same week at the age of 89.

Check out more of her prophesies - including the 2010 "year of earthquakes" that she predicted accurately - at Abbott ePublishing's Website, http://www.abbottepub.com/mo.html Her entire eBook of prophesies is available for just $1.49 for a limited time!

Madame Mary Ordana has become well-known for her clarity of thought and for the poetic form of her prophetic writing, which will appeal to many just for the sheer artistic beauty of her words.

Did this woman predict the Asiana flight 214 plane crash - in 2010??

One of the prophetess Madame Mary Ordana's prophesies, published exclusively in January, 2010 by Abbott ePublishing, hints at two airline-related incidents earlier this month.

Her third prophesy (out of 51) reads: "A plane skids off. No one feels pain." Then it goes on to speak of a "morning flight" that "leads to 2 dead, damaged plane."

This seems to more than hint at the recent plane that "skided off" a runway while taxiing on July 5, in which no one was injured. That incident was followed by the July 6 crash landing of Asiana flight 214 at 11:21 a.m. While three eventually died in that crash, two did, initially.

Check out more of her prophesies - including the 2010 "year of earthquakes" that she predicted accurately - at Abbott ePublishing's Website, http://www.abbottepub.com/mo.html Her entire eBook of prophesies is available for just $1.49 for a limited time!

Make Advent MATTER this year!

Just published by Abbott ePubilshing: "Advent Messages of Hope for Harried and Hurting People" by Patricia Cole Williams

During the Christmas season, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping, wrapping presents and baking cookies that one forgets the true meaning of the holiday - to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Advent season is designed to refocus our lives on Christ. In this beautiful and moving eBook, Patricia Cole Williams presents a detailed package of prayers meditations that do just that.

From the introduction:

"Frankly, the whole idea of the holidays is so exhausting to many people that they dread what should be the most wonderful time of the year. Instead of looking forward in eager hope and exultant expectation, people are grumpy, unhappy, broke, focused on everything that’s wrong in their lives and families and the world. Really, it’s just too much for most of us. Many people would rather skip the holidays. Or they manage to soldier through, knowing that eventually January will come, bringing with it calm and ordinary days. I propose we stop."

This wonderful eBook is just $1.99!
